Pioneer CD VC50 help needed

I just purchsed a Pioneer DEX P1R HU and included was a CD VC50 voice control. Thankfully the HU came with a manual, but the VC50 did not. It looks simple enough to hook up, but I'd like to know how to use it. The pioneer website nor a search on the web provided any help. I'd like to get some better info on it before I try to stuff it into my 90 T'bird SC. Thanks.

Thanks Tray, but I have looked at all of those links and most of them lead you to the same site. (Wish I spoke Russian!) All of them have service manuals , but I would just like to know how to operate this thing. I guess I could just install it, but I'd hate to go through all that just to find out that I can't get it to work because I just do'nt know how. Have you or anyone else ever owned or tried out one of these voice commanders? Thanks again.

I've never owned, nor installed one, but I messed around with one in a buddies truck once.

It was pretty sweet, you could record an action sort of like a Macro on a computer, and give it a voice command. Then when you said the same thing again, it would do the same thing you programmed into it.

Only bad thing was that it didn't save the command for more than 1 day. Would bother me to have to re-do it all the time. I'd rather just punch the buttons I wanted.

Have you tried Crutchfield. They used to carry them, and may be able to assist you. You did say you think the original owner bought it at Crutchfield right. Wink Wink.

Worst they can do is tell you no.

Just write to Tech Service and request a copy of what you lack. The may have a special website link to that you can D/L files from there.

In order to get help, you nay have to register on their website... but what the hey... as long as you bought it and own it lagitimately, they will support you.

If all else fails, I have a friend that has/had one and I can hook you up with him. He may still have the manual and make a copy for you at a nominal charge. As I recall, it's like 50 pages worth of material.
