Post from renov8tr: "Hi, I just installed a Pioneer deh 3900mp in my 2003 F150. Last week I installed new pioneer 6x8 4 ways in the front and pioneer 6x8 3 ways in the rear doors. My problem is, the fronts sound good, but the back speakers sound muddled and have about half of the volume of the fronts. Could this be caused by reverse polarity on the wires? How can I be sure they are working properly?" Replies (1) swez on 07/2/2007 08:54:17 There are 2 possible causes for this: 1. Polarity on one or both rear speakers is incorrect and they are canceling the mids and highs. (Out of phase) 2. This HU has a menu control feature to allow the rear speakers to be fed only subwoofer signals. (Filtered and no mids or highs are passed to the rear speakers) If you don't have your manual for this HU, here's a copy for review. The details on #2 settings begin on page 29. http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/Manuals/130/130DEHP390.PDF Swez Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
