has any one ever installed :NOKYA 9007 ARCTIC WHITE BRAND NEW FITS HEADLIGHTS USE PART #9007 These are replacement bulbs for your headlights . Is there a wireing harness that I will need or can I just use the factory bulb holder . Here is a link for the harness that I found. I kind of feel that is it a gimmic any one know ??http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2428160187&category=33710 Replies (6) Swez on 08/19/2003 21:48:25 From what I read, the OEM harness for 9004/9007 lamps may be fine for OEM lights, but for high current draw HID lighting, I can see that OEM sockets may not take the extra heat very well. If you are melting the present OEM connectors with the lights you have now, this may be a good solution. Just bookmark that product for future references. However, if what you have now works, don't fix what is not broken... (A wise old sage... my Dad... told me that one) No extra charge... GRIN Swez baine on 08/19/2003 23:00:31 lol Well you see the thing is that I have yet to buy the lights. I was tring to see if I need to get the harness too that way I will save some time and effort just doing it all at once. I just kind of thought that it might be a gimmic that someone has to make money. Cause the places I can buy the lights from do not mention a harness or that I know of sell one either. If you guys think it is what I need to do I will get the harness as well as the lights . Tray on 08/20/2003 08:17:54 Are you already set on getting the Nokyas? Reason for asking, is I personally prefer others over these bulbs. I put a set of Nokyas in my '02 Altima, and didn't really like them. I thought stock looked just as good, if not better. I then tried the Sylvania Silver Stars, and loved them. They cost a tad more, but were well worth it to me. I also tried the PIAAs, by recommendation from others on www.altimas.net, and they were about the same as the Sylvanias, the only difference I could see was the packaging, and the bulb itself. Output and look were nearly identical. I also heard from some others using the PIAAs, and Noykas, that their lenses had begun melting when using the high-beams. I never heard anything about the harness itself melting, but thought the lens was a bad thing. If it were me - I would rather spend the $17.99 (11.99 BuyItNow, + 6 S&H), than whatever it would cost for a new wire harness if/when it melts. Tray baine on 08/20/2003 17:44:40 We were looking for a color light and I have yet to see any color lights in the brands you mentioned . Do you have a link for some if they do have color lights? Swez on 08/21/2003 10:40:06 Those hot blue lights I see on the road look very bright as they are coming at you and my Dad has a set of them on his F-150 Super Crew... personally, I find them a lousy source of lighting on black top and rainy roads. He has yellow fogs too... but the fogs are so terriible in dispersion pattern, they are absolutely useless. (not cheap lights) Just poor dispersion patterns. I much prefer the Halogen whites I have on my vehicle and coupled with white driving lights down low. This nets good long throw lighting (fog lights) and good short throw lighting from Halogen OEM lights. That's my experience in a sedan. Comments? Swez Tray on 08/22/2003 12:10:07 ???????????????????? I thought you wanted NOKYA 9007 ARCTIC WHITE The ones I mentioned are white just like these. Or were you looking at the Arctic Blue or Purple? Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
