Hey I was wondering. I've been logged off the site twice while writing a new topic or a post to another one. Once I lost all the stuff I wrote, which was really annoying :(. Would it be possible to increase the time till you are logged off from no activity?

The topic I just posted before this one was quite long and when I clicked save it took me to the home page. It let me go back and the stuff I wrote was there this time thankfully, but the other time it wasn't.

Thanks

Wierd .. Logins are good for 6 hours or if you get disconnected from the web on dialup then your logged out as well.

If you see the number by your name at the bottom is at 5 and your gonna post then logout and back in to give yourself 6 more hours.

Well since I use a server side version cookies the only way to be loged out would be for your ip to change.. ??

Hmm, it should'nt though with a static ip. lol, I'll just keep copying just in case if I have to paste. It's all worth the extra time. This site and everyone running it, helping people, and all is great. I'm hopin to donate some to help out, just gotta get outta debt haha. I wont be able to buy anything for weeks but what I got was well worth it. Thanks to this site and the people here I didn't even have a problem setting things up.

I will try my best to figure it out .. Next time it happens, do be a favor and do this in Windows.. Start Run.. Winipcfg and write down your ip.. and i'll check the logs..

I am glad everything has worked out on your install and buying. Everyone on this site really cares and works hard at helping.. Thanks guys!

Who's your ISP? Some of the smaller ones lately have been pooling their inbound requests to re-routed outbound IPs, in turn giving you a new IP from your connection past them. Trying anything they can to save $$$.

Also - depending on what OS you're running you may have bring up a command window, and enter "ipconfig /all" to get your ip configuration information.

Also - are you using any of those popup blockers, or hide-your-tracks programs? They could be messing with your setup as well.

i have had the same problem in the past couple of weeks. also, on 2 different computers,,,1 dsl, the other T1 connection

My ip is 10.3.10.178, and my isp is direcway for the satellite internet.

Yeah the winipcfg didnt work, I'm using XP.

I am using a popup blocker every once in awhile, it's called Rhino Blocker. No hide-my-tracks program.

Ok .. The IP I show you last logged in with is: 66.82.9.18

So that is what it is.. It changes by the time you click post

I believe I have a solution to this problem but will take me some time to implement .. However my suggestion for now is to use a free proxy to connect to CK Car Audio .. Let me look up a few of them for ya..

The one I gave is for the Directway, but the one that is actually shown is the one you have which is my switch. I have no clue how to get the IP for that though.

I'll try out one of the proxies, thanks.
