Battery Explode

Im just wondering if I was to put a High Performance Alt. ( say 200 amp) can it over power my battery and make it explode if im not running my subs all the time?


check out my prev. article (NEED SOME HELP).

no, your battery would not explode.

alternators only charge when there is a demand for more current to be supplied to the battery if it drops below a given Voltage. All alternators have regulators on them for this reason.

Ditto... you'll be fine unless the regulator flips a chip. Even then, that usually decreases ALT output, not increasing it.
