OK well i'm looking at getting new speakers for my 2003 ranger i have 2 alpine type r 10's runing off a phoenix gold 500.2 so i have plenty of bass i want something that well give me alot of high end and a little mid range in a 5x7 or 6x8 speaker... i have a set of pioneer premier 6x8 i am going to use for the rear speakers but i want something with a bit more high end and really crisp for the front. i wasnt sure wether i should go with a 2way 3way or even 4 way speaker set up. any advise or opinions would be well apreciated on brands or type... thanks Replies (3) ttocs on 08/17/2003 11:34:35 if you want a good soundstage, you can fit a 6.5" and a tweeter in there if you have considered componants. xplicitblitzboi on 08/17/2003 17:01:34 exactly, i recently bought a pair of memphis power reference 6.5s and i fit them in my 1997 cavalier door panels.(had to do a little dremmel work but hey, as long as it fits) i finally decided to upgrade and i have my infinity kappa 4x6 plates for sale if anyone is interested haha. ttocs on 08/17/2003 17:21:45 ya, that would be like putting 10 lbs of "stuff" in a 5 lb sack. But to get rid of 4 x 6's, I would have done it too. Going from a 6 x 8 to a 6.5 is not a big deal at all.. Just need to make a baffle to mount it to, I can get you through it..
