1) 0ga. bat to amp 2) 0ga. amp to ground 3) 0ga. alt to ground 4) 0ga. engine block to (-) bat do i need the engine block to chasis if i already have it to the bat? and what else needs upgrading? i have about a foot and a half left of 0ga -Drew (three runs of 8 alt to bat. and two 8ga+one 4ga bat to ground) Replies (5) ShootuhMcBustaCap on 04/26/2007 10:07:07 Grounding out the engine block probably wouldn't hurt at all. I felt a HUGE boost in performance when I regrounded mine. Didn't make much of a difference audio wise. How's the other aspects of the project going? Haven't seen you around in a minute...... newB on 04/26/2007 18:28:34 ive been around..... had a couple paychecks a little bigger than expected so i went out and bought 50sqft of deadener and this 20ft2in run of 0/1. only costs me 65$ shipped. thats ~250 a foot the nice shop downtown wanted 8$ a foot so im glad i did the EBAY buy. we'll see about the deadener though. its no name brand so im skeptical. but hey- its better than nothing -Drew ShootuhMcBustaCap on 04/27/2007 10:40:53 Word. Any new pics for me to scope out? Good deal getting the 0GA and the sound deadener. What brand was it? Where all did you apply it? Was it good? Where is the location of the rebel base?? newB on 04/27/2007 21:32:46 the deadener was the cheap stuff, sound destoryer i think. it comes in monday so hopefully i will start lay'n it down then. it wil l make a hug difference in my car because i get 90% of my flex where the winshield meets the roof. and im going to try and get Most of the interior done where its needed (doors, then around subs and pacakge tray, then roof) -Drew ShootuhMcBustaCap on 04/28/2007 10:11:21 Feel you there. I dont get much any flex that I can tell, but my windsheild rattles like crazt, same with the rear windows. GM should have worked out some better mounting for the rears, as there is easy an inch of L-R play in the top of the window when it is down. Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
