the amps and subs are probly worth about 600 (u.s. currency) in good condition... i could be wrong. as far as the cap...worthless according to the pros on here.....amp kit....can get schosche at walmart for 25 bucks...not sure what brand you have.....and the box is totally up to the builder or the owner as far as worth.....looks like you may have done ok on the deal....but then im not sure what the difference is in the currency.

For the value difference in currency, that is one hell of a deal. The retail value of a pair of L7's would trounce that right away.

I would highly reccomend ditching the 4 gauge and getting some 0 gauge with a good D-block for your amps. The 4 will work, but I am sure with the curent this rig will ask for, you would definitely want to spring for the bigger stuff. But then I did some reasearch, and realized 50 amps of current draw is all that would would be used.

These amps are rated at 200RMS @ 2 ohms, and I don't think that will really cut it with a L7 on the recieving end. They call for a ton of power, 1000 RMS per sub. They may be gigger an better, but both of those amps isn't enough to load down a single one of the 4 voice coils in the pair of subs to full capacity...

I would seriouslt rething this setup. Especially if your buddy was running these amps at full gain trying to run these things. They are probably already damaged if this is the case.

Tread lightly, and think this one through thoroughly first.

what amp or amps, would u recomend for the L7's.. i dont think he will sell them seperately he wants to get rid of it all at once

You can easily buy those speakers new for 200 dallars US each and the amps are onlt about 150 each so brand new 700 USD and less with careful shopping.

The problem is that those amps are not even close to enough power for the L7's and anything that has enough kick for 2 , is going to probably require substantial charging system upgrades. 1 Alpine 1000'1 PDX amp to each would be excellent but those are about 450 USD each but will supposedly run full power on a 4 AWG wire(each).

Good call on the PDZ series there James. The would do quite nicely, and will make full power at 2 or four ohms.

With a pair of these, both subs would be robustly powered, and the JL amps could possibly be integrated as an SQ engine. I am not too sure though, as it is a full range Class A/B amp, (frequency response on the website I found it at said 20-25Khz) but it only has one channel. I am sure that both amps would have to be used for proper stereo imaging, and that an alt upgrade would be crucial if all 4 were used.

What say you??
