1. caps are just eye candy. They do not help your electrical system at all. Read this:

2. What exactly do you mean by 'split power' are you referring to speaker output?

3. are you referring to MOFO subs? What size?

that is the most succinct definition of a capacitor I've ever heard.

I'd like to add that if you are considering power, a capacitor is a STORAGE device, not a SOURCE like an alternator.

The Capacitor, in car audio, was first used in an effort to assist in the prevention of headlights dimming...an installation gimmic. After years of use, people kept applying this gimmic until marketing found a way to make people buy the product for the wrong reasons.
