Well sometimes at high volumes like the deck goes up to 35 volumes like 32 34 even sometimes 30 when the speakers are being pushed the sound goes from decent too harley no sound with it like trying to push speakers distorting badly lowering the sound down automatically...... Could this be a problem wit like mabey one of the speakers in door panel touching metal would that affect this doin this......?????? Cause it only happens sometimes??????....... or could it be i got these speakers wired wrong - +. I mean im so confused here seemed simple enough to wire now wats wrong?????????

It is possible that one of your speaker terminations are grounding out against body. If that happens, what you noted is possible... but usually the HU will blow a fuse or that one speaker will drop in output volume substancially. May even damage the HU amp on that channel. But mostly, it sounds like your HU has self limiting outputs. power. (Self-protect feature)

Most likely, your HU amps are running out of power. The more bass energy you throw at the interior speakers, the lower the output level you will get as the HU amps try to limit current flow to all speakers. This protects the HU amps and is normal.

If you drop back on the HU Bass EQ a tad, you'll get more SPL to the interior speaks, but need s sub amp/subs, to make up for the loss in bass. This may not be as noticable on some music... but Rap and other heavy bass music can really sap power from the HU amps and even sap outputs from RCA's.

Best you can do here:

1. Back off on HU bass boost from HU (0-+3 db gain)
2. Increase sub gain (on sub amp) a tad to improve SPL for low end

I have a similar situation. If I use too much HU bass boost, I lose Mids/highs SPL to interior speakers. What I did, was drop the bass EQ a tad and boost the sub amp gain to compensate. It works for now, but adding a larger 4 channel amp for interior speaks and balancing the bass system, will solve what is mentioned in your case.

Hope this makes sense to you,

Swez
