I was lookin through our faq section and after skipping over it a few times I didn't see anything about the big 3? Did I miss it? I was putting some under drive pullies on my mustang this week when i needed to pull the alt to have the pully removed(didn't have an impact wrench). I realized it would be easy to do with the alt pulled so got everything together and slapped it in there....... page 6 http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2395420/1 Replies (7) swez on 04/21/2007 14:47:49 That link was moved and it's new location is posted further down in the FAQ. Somebody found it again as we just added the new addy to the FAQ. http://www.sounddomain.com/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/312025/page/1#Post312025 Swez ShootuhMcBustaCap on 04/21/2007 20:56:49 Nicely done Ttocs. Showed your page some love..... swez on 04/22/2007 10:24:39 Nice and clean install there ttocs. What was the OEM size pulley VS the smaller one you installed later? Swez PS Consider taking Momstang to the power wash and give the engine compartment a good bath so we can get a real good look at the whole thing. It won't hurt anything and will be easier to pick out the fresh wires. Keeps the hands cleaner when yankin parts and allows the engine to run cooler too. ShootuhMcBustaCap on 04/22/2007 11:35:51 Yeah, not a bad call. The underhood kinda hates on the rest of your otherwise sickly Stang. I like the tailight mod a lot. How did you tint them?? ttocs on 04/23/2007 07:44:15 that is in the plans as well. I have a cobra upper and lower intake as well a polished chrome 70 mm MAF that I am waiting for the throttle body, 24# fuel injectors and cold air induction to complete and slap on. I am also going to paint the upper intake to help it look a little better and will probably go with polished ceramic headers eventually. I had a hard enough time keeping up withe keeping mom from destroying the paint for the first 12 years(inbetween work, partying, and a little school as well). Keeping up with under the hood was not a priority, girls didn't care about it....... The stock alt pully was a little smaller then the under drive pully so it slows the alt and does effect the idle voltage as well. I am going to bump the idle up 100-200 rpm and I think that will fix it, and when the alt goes I will certainly replace it with a HO(more chromeSMILE?). I also replace the crank pully and the water pump. I think it feels a little faster but until I get it back at the track or on the dyno I will not know for sure. Still been feelin bad too often to get the box done, and lost a little interest since I do not have an amp nor the money for one.... ttocs on 04/23/2007 07:46:35 I tinted the tail lights with a black candy and a good UV resistant clear coat that a auto paint supply store recommended. It was a PIA masking off the lights but they came out really nice and will hopefully last for a long time. swez on 04/23/2007 10:52:01 Nice touches pending there bud. Sounds like all your cash is going under the hood and into this Stang for now. Enjoy, Swez Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
