so i read in the audiobahn post that you can get an amp out of protect mode by grounding the hot and remote (no hot lead from battery of course) ...so i tried that and it sparked the juice from the caps....then i tried to hook it up right and still does it...this amp is flawless inside...no burns or signs of trouble....i know people dont really care for lanzar and would probably tell me not to waste my time....but this is an optidrive which is their best line....and i dont wanna trash it...so when i hook it up the power light flickers for like 3 seconds and then goes to protect mode...and this is without any speakers hooked up...i would have pics of the amp up but my canon powershot has finally reached the famous e18 phase.....so its junk....did i do this little trick right?? or what? The amp has something bad in it if it goes into protect with no speakers hooked up. The opti-drive was a great amp and it may be worth repairing. trunkisloud on 04/11/2007 08:10:37 no the audiobahn thread on this site posted by louisypher swez on 04/11/2007 12:56:15 If the amp is really that good to ya, take it in for repairs. OK, it may set ya back $75.00 for repairs, but that's better than an expensive boat anchor. Sounds like you did the steps as Kittle mentioned. Must be another gizzmo in there at needs trained hands to get it going again. Swez Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
