96 ford explorer sub amplfier diagram

USFLAG i need info on a 96 ford explorer xlt subwoofer amplifier. wire diagram or info on the wires..
i see 7 wires total from the factory wireing..
2= output i know
2 = power (im assuming and you know what happens when you assume)
3 = input (im also assuming)
please help

If it has the factory amplified "premium" system this link should show you the input into the factory amp as well as the speaker output from the amp. Also the power, illumination, chassis grounds and amp turn on wires. It is labeled for F-150's but is the same as some Explorers

there is a radio integration hrns that would make it easy to diagnose and you could return the hrns when you are done with it. Go to a local shop and find a "premium integration" hrns for a ford and you can identify all the wires through that.

If you can list the wire colors I may be able to look some of them up in the books that I have. Ford likes to use red as ground, yellow as switched but other then that I am really guessing......
