hi there how can i know the electrcity power in my can ? which power can my car handel ? when do i need a capcitor ? some ppl use an extra battery what for ? peugeot 307 2.0 many thanx Replies (2) baine on 08/15/2003 06:19:03 Ok call a parts store and ask what the stock alt for your car puts out in amps. that will tell you your electricty and will also tell you that your car can only handel that much amp draw before you will have a dead batt. If you upgrade your alt and get a 850 CCA battery you will never need a capcitor ( they are just a small battery to supply your amplfier with power when your batt drops below the capcitors level) The extra battery is a huge capcitor (cheeper too ) but you should not need the xtra batt unless you are putting a monster system in your car ... if you are going to do that then plan on a new alt aswell as the one in your car now will not beable to keep up with one batt let a lone two. Swez on 08/15/2003 17:22:29 Yep, I agree.. Call your dealership and ask what the ALT power rating is for this car. (can?) Once you know that number, then picking a system to build off that is one option. The other option is beefing up the electricals with a bigger ALT/BAT as noted. What amp(s) are you thinking about for your system? Swez Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
