I have a soundstream class A 10.0 amp. Dont know what settings to use with 2 (alpine type R) 10 inch subs? Same problem with (phoenix gold M44 amp) ? Don't have manuals for either amp.

Those amplifiers are worth 10x their weight in gold.
2880 watt, .5 ohm stable. I would almost consider trading my entire system for an amplifier like that.
You can definitely connect the subs to the soundstream. I don't know what the voice coil ohms are, but even if they are 2 ohm, the amplifier can handle 1/2 ohm configuration (all coils wired parallel to the amp).
The M44 can be used for the front speakers.
I will look and see what I can find as far as settings on the amp.
Anyone else had the honor of setting up one of these?

wow, you just made my day. I was beginning to feel that the amps were nothing special because I can't find any info about them on the web or even if anyone has heard of this model. I am clueless as far as the little switches and settings like the option of (.2 -2.2 volt) or (.5 -5.5volt) switch. Also a (balance or unbalanced) setting for each channel . the back has settings and diagrams for a (mixed mono) - (stereo)-(bridge) configuration .but my main concern was the best wiring method for the subs and amp. each sub has 4 contacts (+ - + -) I used a jumper for 1 (+ -) and now do I run the other ( + - ) for each sub in parallel (+ - ) to the amps same (+ - ) of one channel or (+ - ) bridge the two channels using the first (+) of one channel and the last ( - ) of the second channel. OR wire the subs in series (+ to -) between subs and then the remaining (-) of one sub and the remaining (+) of the other and connect those to one channel (+ -) or bridged between 2 channels ( [+] - + [-] )

This amp might need a jumper, but I am not sure yet. Let me do a little research on it and I will get back to you tonight.
