I Have A Kicker KX2500.1 Amp I Am Moving Up To 2 S15L7'S Which OHM'S Will Work More Efficient With This Amp The 2 Or 4 OHM'S? Replies (2) jamesp on 03/17/2007 22:45:22 Are the 15's single voice coil? 2 or 4 OHM? Those Kickers may all be single voice coil...not sure...but if possible use a 2 OHM load. If they have dual voice coils, with dual 4 OHM voice coils, you dont have the option to run 2 of them from the same amp at a net 2 OHM load.. If they have a single 2 OHM voice coil you can run the pair at net 4 or 1..so, if the amp is 1 OHM stable, do 1 cplkittle on 03/18/2007 02:16:24 2 subs dual 4 ohm voice coils will give you 1, 4, or 16 ohms 2 subs dual 2 ohm voice coils will give you .5, 2, or 8 ohms 2 subs single 4 ohm voice coils will give you 2 or 8 ohms 2 subs single 2 ohm voice coils will give you 1 or 4 ohms The amplifier is 2 ohm stable, so 2 subs dual 2 ohm will be your best bet. The difference between 2 and 4 ohms power wise is that 2 ohms will give you the full 2500 watts, if you double the ohms to 4, the power will be cut in half (1250 watts).
