I have only been around here a couple of months but you really need to list your equipment with model numbers and power ratings as well as wire guages used in the install etc.
Ill take a guess ..If you have a dinky alternator, like a 70 -90 amp model and if your battery is not a high cca unit or is old..and you have fairly big amps... the cap aint going to create power for your system. All the cap can do is store energy and feed it in for a millisecond or two when you exceed your charging /storage systems output.
If you have a big honking system with an adequate alt and battery, a cap might help in those instances when you pull the ocassional big extra shot of juice showing your stuff or in competition. It will not cover and inadequate charging/storage system
Im not saying that your system is inadequate in anyway...tell us what you have... then maybe one of the smart guys here can help you out

agreed.

A capacitor will only give you a split second of extra juice (such as a bass drum note in a rock song). as far as hip hop or rap, they are pretty much useless unless they have some pretty lights, then they are just eye candy.
