What's up guys? I have a little simple issue. I have two JL Audio W1 , 4ohm 10" subs in a sealed box under the back seat in my dodge ram and I have recently bought a ZX400 Kicker mono 4 ohm amp it's all hooked up to an older pioneer EQ and I have wired my 10's in a parllel to make everything run @ 2ohm' s, (at least I think I did it right) but I'm having a tuning problem, it's like I can't find that good deep hard hitting fequency. Is it possibly because my sub is input comes from the EQ, or is it that I just need to continue messing with it til I just get lucky?! If anyone has an advice as to what I can do to bring that slump'n deep hard bass out of those 10's I would truley appreciate any opinions/advice!! (2 ohms is the right choice... both subs wired in parallel to amp outputs) Even with the EQ, all signals below LPF setpoint will be fed to your subs. Do you have a Mid/High amp for your regular speakers or just powered off the HU? (HU = Head Unit = Radio) Explain your entire setup so we have a better picture of your situation.
