Reccomendations for GF System

Hey whats up guys? I told my Gf a while back that I'd throw a system in her car for her but I dont really want to spend to much money and I want to use the JL 250/1 amplifier I already have laying around.

I'm looking at a single 12" Sub setup, probably sealed. I figure a single 12" should move enough air to make her happy.

Some of the options I've been looking at are the

Alpine TypeR
JL Audio 12"W3V3
Image Dynamics ID12D4 V3
MB Quart 12" RWE-304 (lil high RMS tho)
eD 13Kv.2 Subwoofer

Any opinions or other options? I dont really want to spend more than around 200 for the sub.

Why not use an Infinity Reference Series sub. Handles 300 RMS, is available in 4 ohm SVC or 4+4 DVC and under $100.00. It's a midrange power SQL sub and since you are using the 250/1 that's a good fit. No sense spending extra money on a high powered sub when it's not required. ;-)

Good Choices! I had forgot about the infinity reference series! I might go with that one but not sure yet. The set of Infinity VQ 12"s I installed in a mustang sounded really good.

I dont really have any experience with the Polk Momo series subs but have used their components in the past when I first got into car audio and liked them. Have you used the Polks personally victor? If so what was your experience with them?

Have a set of Polk home stereo Monitors. They were bought in 1978 and still sound great and have loved Polk gear ever since.

Have also recommended the Infinity Ref subs to many guys here that wanted a competent sub that did not cruch the wallet. All reports were favorable and noone has complained about quality or performance issues to my recall. It's a very good, low budget sub. (Sealed is best for tight bass, power handling and good lows)

Yah whatever sub I go for will be sealed. Mainly for the fact that I dont feel like messing around with port tuning and all that jazz. She's not replacing any of the factory speakers but just wanted to add a sub since she listens to a lot of rap and hip hop haha. Since I'm paying for it...cheaper is better =).

I'm probly going to do the amp and enclosure on the side of her SUV in the rear and add some fiberglass beauty covers to accent the sub and the amplifier. Might as well make it look nice and sound good.

Those polks are worth every penny and even more...

unbelievably clean for a sub priced at $169

very good transients in a sealed... solid crispy bass

I would say they can outperform all the subs listed on this post till now..

not yet got a chance to hear the edesigns and the image dynamic subs but for the rest i can surely say this..

If you buy from Sonicelectronic, be sure to find the item on thier ebay site. The same item on thier regular web site is at least 10% higher. They dont have all of thier products on ebay, but do have many good deals. I have ordered from them recently. I bought a Rockford Fosgate 6001bd amp, Alpine type R 12" sub and an Eclipse 5000cd. The head unit was about 30 bucks cheaper on thier ebay site than from thier regular internet store. Both orders arrived at my door 6 days after the orders were placed. That is not bad for California to Georgia ground shipping.
In comparison, I ordered a set of Infinity Kappa comps from Indoaudio on the 21st of February and they didnt even ship them out (hopefully) untill the 28th with a projected delivery date of March 6th. Both businesses are located near LA. I give Sonic a thumbs up ratingCLAP
