Amp problem...i think anyways

In my Celica I have:
Pioneer DEH-P4800MP cd deck
6.5" Pioneer speakers
Pioneer GM-3200T amp
2 10" Pioneer TS-W251R in a bandpass box

There is some sort of problem with the setup. I cannot get the amp to work right. I have one of the low input cables hooked up and the high input hooked up to the amp. This is the only way the subs will work. If I just have both the low input cables hooked up to the amp, it seems to me that the signal is getting through, but the signal is not getting amplified. It seems like the only power is comming from the cd deck, and not the amp. THINK

I think the problem is in the radio settings. How familiar are you with this radio? I would recommend spending a half an hour or so reading through the owner's manual and getting very familiar with the settings and what they do.
Also, make sure there is not a switch on the amplifier that says high/low level input.

Also, we use only the amp RCA level inputs or High Signal inputs only. They cannot be used simultanously.

In your case, the HU is powering the mids and highs only. That's fine and OK to do.

With the addition of your sub amp, RCA's from the HU rear or sub output jacks is fine. (Faded or non-faded here, up to you) If using sub out only in this HU, there are menus to help set up the bass engine control features in this HU. They have to be enables and if there are filters used, we use the LPF filter in the HU. (LPF will pass bass and block mids/highs? This is often set to about 80-100 Hz for sub apps.

Some HU's have bass gain control functions too. This is where the manual and setup notes are needed. Do you have a copy of the install and users manual for this HU?
