I tapped into a switched 12V dark blue wire for my remote turn on wire. With the ignition on or in accy position, my amps are on. When I had only a poewerd sub connected by speaker level inputs, the sub amp was only "on" when the head unit was on. Now my amps are always on except when the ignition is off.I feel like if Im in the car, Ill be playing music, but would it be better for me to find a wire that is on only when the head unit is turned on? Thanks.....JamesP Replies (2) swez on 02/1/2007 16:57:30 It's not a big issue to leave the amps on w/o a signal going into them. But if you leave they key in ACC mode for a few hours, it might drain your battery down. Since this is a stock HU, you can use a dash switch to shut the amps off when you don't want them on. I prefer the switches with a 12 volt lamp circuit in them. When power is flowing in the ON position, the light is on. When you flip it to the OFF position, the lamp goes out. I didnt think about switching it,,,Ill catch on in a year or 2.GRIN Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
