Is it my car or my deck

ok heres the deal i have 2 12 inch lightning audio subs hooked up to a 250w sony xploid amp which dosnt sound bad until everytihng cuts out exept the bass and that seems to keep doing it more frequently i was told it was the amp inside the deck which seemed reasonable becuz it was a wlamart brand deck i got for free so i was told to pick up a new one and i just put that in today and it is doing the same axact thing (its a pioneer which is a good brand) and i dont know what the hell is goign on so help me how can i fix it what is gonna need to be fixed and how much is it gonna cost

I would first check the ground on the radio. If it is grounded throught the radio harness, try a chassis ground instead. I would also use the fade / balance and check each speaker for rattles or pops. You could have a short or bad speaker that is causing the amplifier in the radio to cut out.
And to cover all the bases, check the amplifier ground as well.

just out of curiosity, are you turning the volume up really loud when this happens?

no the volume dosnt affect it and tommorow we are rewiring the all the speakers to the car i already checked the grounds and the individual speakers.. o swell
