Hey everyone its been a while since i've been on this web site. I have been really busy with college and all that stuff. I also recently purchased a product by Audio Control and i got the Epicenter Concert series. It is a bass restoration device and WOW it made a HUGEEEEEEEEEEEE difference. My system hits SO MUCH HARDER THAN IT USED TOO. I recently purchased a rockford fosgate component set with 2 6.5" and 4 tweeters plus 2 crossovers... the model is P162S. I also purchased a HC Battery sort of like a yellow top but it might be better. The one i got was a Kinetic HC 1800... it has 1900 amps of output, and the CCA rating is 1350. There were alot of hispanics there that wanted to listen to the mariachi type music that just didn't quite pick up on the subs. The audio control epicenter is a nice piece of equiptment, and really filled out the bass for them. It does well on other types of music also. I like to listen to bass guitar solos with an epicenter. I have never heard of kinetic HC batteries.. hold on, I'll do a little research. Ok, I am back did you miss me? Specifications: 81 Ah 1900 Amp 1350 CA It says ultra low ESR, but dosen't give the rating as far as the given specs, it beats all yellow top specs, and it is a AGM (glass mat) I dunno. I would like to hear updates on the battery - how well it does in a year, two years. I would love to load test it and compare it to a yellow top. The only optima that beats that is the troll fury deep cycle, and it blows it out of the water. The troll fury is 2 blue tops together though. cca 1500 ca 1740 cecilio87 on 01/4/2007 15:46:57 hey the epicenter is really something else. i use it for rap music and R&B... It does what i didn't even think it would do... The Kinetic HC batteries are sort of like a batcap i think. it is known as the bat cap killer so i dunno??? P0werLifter on 01/4/2007 18:27:19 I know many a competitor and street beater that use Kinetics. Personally I am purchasing one for a second batt in my truck. I've heard nothing but great things about them and their reletively not THAT expensive compared to Odyssey or the Hawker (I think it is) batteries. You can use them as a stock batt...or add more for a bank of them. I have used the epicenter in my truck. Sounds good for some stuff and rounds out the music nicely but it shouldnt be used as a tool to "make it bang" in my own opinion. cecilio87 on 01/4/2007 20:07:29 Hey good to know on the Kinetics... I purchased almost the top of the line Kinetic for about 200 bucks so it is not bad at all. I should receive it this Friday... I know what you mean about the epicenter. On some songs it does not sound good at all, but on most songs it sounds awesome. like on songs that already have really low bass and you try to restore it, it sounds a little off, but other than that, I LOVE IT. why do you think i shouldn't use the epicenter for a bang??? P0werLifter on 01/5/2007 13:01:13 I'm a firm believer in building enclosures to suit your needs. If you want it to wang, go ported. Want it tight, punchy bass with good sound quality, go sealed. While its a good product and I have used it, I try not to rely on it to make the system wang. Thats done with power, and enclosures =) What is your current set up? Woofer/Subwoofer cecilio87 on 01/6/2007 02:23:29 Right now i have a US AMP and the model is AX-2000 it is a 2 channel class A/B and it is a high current amp... It is supposedly 2,000 watts rms, but its underrated, so i think it might be around 2,400... I have Two 12 L7s in a ported box... the size of the box is about 6.5 cu. ft... so yeah it bangs Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
