Happy new year guys. Hope this year brings new toys and lotsa fun installs. Replies (5) cplkittle on 01/1/2007 03:44:03 oops I guess when you type in happy in all caps you get HAPPY that's why my post came out HAPPY NEW YEAR USFLAG instead of HaPPY NEW YEAR ttocs on 01/1/2007 08:48:17 It really has just not felt like the holidays to me for some reason. Anyone do anything fun last night? swez on 01/1/2007 09:54:23 Not here mang... went to bed early and listened to the fireworks and what not at midnight. Frankly, 06 was not a stellar year and this has been one of the most depressing Holiday seasons I have experienced in many years. I sure do hope that 07 is indeed a better year in all respects. I wish you all a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2007. FYI: To those of you who may remember PT Teal, his cancer has returned with a vengence and according to his wife, he will not survive this one much more than a few months. Am considering taking up a letter writing campaign to his soon to be widow... Carla. If any wish to send letters and cards to them now, I'll try to get a current address on them. Terry & Carla McDonald are their names. As for New Years Eve activities, spent most of the evening reading/responding to forum posts on a scammer and one of our CK brethran. That was fun huh? Want a different perspective on life this year and in 2007? Read this and THINK about it. Difficulty and troubles, build character and resilience. Warning: This link is from a Christian Pastor's perspective. I listen to him on the net often and he has a lot of good things to say. In his view, 2006 is just the beginning of even harder times to come. Read this at your own risk. It's not a good forecast. But rather, a good primer of learning to cope well in times of great adversity. (You have been warned OK) http://www.activeword.org/devotional/index.cfm?d=20061231 Swez Ash on 01/1/2007 09:57:14 Sure.... I got a little tipsy off some champagne & sherbert (at home of course) , munched on some hors d' oeuvres, watched some numbskulls act a fool on the karaoke, fell asleep right before midnight, and then was awaken by fireworks and gunfire (which sounded like we were in the middle east somewhere). I guess you could call that fun, or could you?!! ttocs on 01/1/2007 11:30:15 I too am glad that '06 is over and hope tht '07 will be better although I can't say it started off well with the scammer. I have been struggling again with my digestive problems mostly on and sometimes off since june. Been in the hospital a few times and of course after all the testing none of the dr can find anything wrong with me. I will jump from my hospital bed and choke out with my IV the next dr that says,"maybe its in your head, have you seen a therapist yet?". Sorry to hear about terry. I think I was the only one on here to meet him when I installed his alarm. Terry is a big guy that owns a tattoo and piercing shop and is covered with alot of ink as well as has an eyepatch. He is one of those guys that when he walks up it makes you a little nervous, but as soon as he introduces himself all that tension goes away and you are completly dis-armed. I only met him 2 times but I could tell he could be a good friend and neighbor to anybody.... And would do anything for his freinds and neighbors. I have often wondered how he was doing and what he was up to and I would certainly write a letter to him and his wife. Man just when I thought I was havin a bad year... As for new years I was a little more crazy then swez as was the retirement community up the road..... I was up on my computer thying to nail the scammer when I heard the firework and my dog came running in scared. I picked her up and we went out back to see and hear the noise, and then I went right back trying to nail the scammer...... Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
