Hey i have a 04 regular cab F-150 with a JL 13w1v2 sub in it. I heard something that really upset me today. One of my firends told me he heard that if you get to big of a sub in a regular cab it will sound bad. Is this true? Replies (3) swez on 12/17/2006 10:19:34 That is one of the most idiotic comments I have read in a long while... It sounds more like envy or a total lack of understanding than fact. The fact is, if one designs and installs a well fabricated enclosure in any given vehicle and has adequate clean power to run it, the rest is purely up to the owner's preferences and setup process. After all, you paid for it. One thought here Dac... we have to learn what we value and take well planned steps to get there. (Help from experienced hands, always helps) It does not matter what other idiots have to say. If what we have is satisfying to our tastes and preferences, who cares what others say.... (Unless they are paying for it, like a customer) Time to get some "Tough Skin" and apply it liberally as needed. The world is full of envious critics that cannot do squat for themselves and prefer to carp on others who are making it good. If your gear is up to your own personal standards, that's all that matters. In short, the planet is full of idiots and morons... don't let them steal your peace, Swez DaculabBall50 on 12/17/2006 11:06:45 Well that makes me feel alot better. I totally didn't believe it when he said it but i guess it just ate at me last night. I have a real bad habit of letting stuff eat at me and then finally believeing it. Well thanks for you comment! I cant wait to get my components on Christmas! I'll be rockin then! swez on 12/17/2006 11:48:44 Well good... am happy to calm your nerves when possible Dac. Hey, there are people on this planet that are never satisfied and are just plain miserable too. They make it their business to derail others that are achieveing thier goals and reaching for big dreams. The trick is to be aware of that and learn to brush them off like dog poop on our shoes. Consider the source when we hear or see critical people invading our peace. We don't want to give anyone the power to bust our bubble... unless it is a trusted friend that is actually trying to keep us out of a potential jam later. It's usually easy to see the differences. Simply observe their actions and look at thier motives. The wounds from a true friend, are to be treasured. But the rantings of a fool are just that... foolish rants. Press on bro!
