I am interested in putting something into a future car and i was wondering what all i'd need or what i should be looking, and worst of all saving up for.

Now is a good time to plan and research your options and set some general goals for your new ride. That, and saving your cash for future purchases too.
Try to be realistic about all this and we will help you pull things together when you are ready. The main part of the equation is how much do you wish to spend initially? Also consider what you believe you will need gear wise for the install. Things like:
1. HU (Stock radio or aftermarket upgrade)
2. Amplification (Full range and sub amps?)
3. Aftermarket speakers or stock
4. Sub(s)
5. Enclosure for subs
6. Wiring hardware needs (Based on power demand of amp's')
7. Electrical upgrades if you want a very strong system
All these things are pretty much modular and can be bought in pieces as needed. (Budget permitting) One can do a lot with $500 - 800.00. However, some guys can easily spend $3,000.00 + too. It all depends on the power your new system will need, what brand are used, where you buy your gear and whether you install it yourself or have it done Professionally.

A few articles on CK that could guide you well for the beginning, I would advise you read them throughly before you start building your system.. Ofcourse all of us are here to help you, but its always better to be a knowledgeable consumer before you go out to buy new equipments....
