hey man. ive got a problem. my equalizer doesnt turn off whn i turn the radio off.... i thnk the remote wire might be stuffed..bt not 2 sure... any ideaz why this is happenin?? Replies (6) cplkittle on 11/29/2006 16:12:00 stuffed? connect the eq power wire to the red wire on the back of the radio. ttocs on 11/30/2006 10:52:02 what kind of equipment do you have, give us a full list? deveshoan on 11/30/2006 15:56:24 well i have a jvc kd-g416 which i connected to the alpine equalizer nq348(the 1 tht doesnt turn off) and from the equalizer it goes 2 my american pro amp which powers my car speakerz and i have a line out from the american pro amp to my sony amp which powers my american pro sub. thts basicly it. i powerd the eq to the ignition wire for now bt obviously the memory is nt being saved....soo yeah... ttocs on 11/30/2006 19:17:56 I tried to look up that eq but google comes up with nothing. There should be 3 power wires on the eq, yellow, black and blue. Do you have all of these wires wired up to the constant, ground and remote turn on? deveshoan on 12/1/2006 15:19:49 umm yup....except the yellow wire i powerd that to the red wire from the head unit now because when i powered it to the yellow wire it didnt turn off, even after i turnd the headunit off n i turn the whole car off. ttocs on 12/3/2006 16:53:37 yellow needs to go to a +12v constant, not the switched wire. The blue wire could go the red+12v switched and that should then turn on and off properly. Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
