hey i was wondering what kind of subwoofer or like a good kinds just to fill in some sound for like hard rock music or punk. thanks.

Many subs can do rock with ease. Depends on how much bass SPL power you want, can afford & fit into your vehicle.

Its your box. Choose the right box for the type of music you like.
A lot of people say sealed for rock...but i like the way ported sounds...it sound more live than a sealed box does and hit much like a bass drum. Bass guitar too.
Get a single Cerwin Vega 12" in a 2cu foot Ported box and you will be a happy camper.

PS Cerwin Vegas hit really hard but take up more space than your average woofer.
