I have an Alpine MRD-M1000 amplifier, 1000watt, 1 channel . I had it in my truck for a few months powering my 4-12'' subs. All was fine until one day I came out to my truck and turned on my radio and everything worked but no sound output from the Alpine. It powers up fine , on the digital display it reads the volts, amps and thats it. It used to tell u the temp and something else but I cant remember . Took it out hooked it up in my garage a few months later works flawless for about 2 months. My truck was broken into and my other sub amp was stolen so I hooked back up the alpine works when I initially test it then I go to leave nothing, it turns on but no output? WTF? I have two other amps hooked up and a fosgate crossover on a 40amp relay Replies (2) Victor on 11/11/2006 04:56:37 This is a censored site... this post will be deleted, please make a new post , without that colourful language.. swez on 11/11/2006 09:14:49 Check your amp inputs and try a known good sub as well. The amp may have some internal problems, loose RCA input card or is not getting adequate voltage to power it up. Also, check your amp's input voltage off the power lugs. If it is below about 11.0 volts DC, this will cause the amp to not perform properly. When you old amp was ripped out, they may have damaged the power/ground cables or damaged your RCA's.
