speaker cuts out at low volume

2001 Gmc Sierra stock HU, to loc
to PPI 2150am running 2 JL audio 12w1 (with MTX X-over)
and PPI 5440 powering - front JL audio tr-650 components and - rear JL tr400 coax

Every once in a while my front left speakers (maybe rear left also?) turn off at low volume. When I turn the volume up they come back on and sound good.
My question is this,
Is this a wiring problem or is there something wrong with my amp or some other problem? It only happens about once every two or three days, and only at low volume.

Check your speaker wiring off the amp and RCA inputs for that channel. If there are loose connections or small fray wires shorting out, this will often happen.

Inspect your speaker and RCA wires closely!
