use 2 subs. A 4 ohm DVC single speaker can only do 8 or 2 ohms, and do not run only one coil, ever.........

well i have 2 subs but i dont have enough room in 93 reg cab truck so was just going to put in 1.so the best i can do is 2 ohm with 1 sub?ok thanks

Correct, one sub is net 2 ohms. Not bad either, if the amp can deliver a solid 300 watts RMS @ 2 ohms.

if im not mistaken it puts out like 1200 rms.i think.i got it from a riend of mine the other day.he had it hooked to a mtx rfl 15.well one amp per sub.but hes going with a new setup so i bought it off of him. i looked at the matrxx website but the amp i have isnt on there so it must be and older model.thanks yall

You can estimate the approximate power this amp puts out by adding up the fuses in it.

Example: 40a x 3 = 120 Amperes max current draw

120 x 14.4 volts = 1728 watts Peak (~1200 watts RMS)

FYI: The 15" Comp VR's can handle 500 watts RMS per sub. So, a pair of them should be thumping pretty good at 1200 watts input.
