I'm currently looking for a flip out screen DVD/CD player and found the JVC KD-AV7010. JVC retails it for $1600 and it looks like a wonderful piece. However i've been to amazon.com, cardomain.com, etc. and have found it sellin for around $800. Is this deck worth the money? Is it a good source to have? Reading about the detachable screen, it sounds like it is but want to know what you experts think about it. Also, what player would you recommend to me? What are your top 3 choices for the flip out screen? I really appreciate any feedback, thanks. Replies (1) swez on 10/26/2006 10:40:18 This Source unit has some very advanced features. I can see why it retails for $$$$. Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine and JVC all make some very good DVD products. Have you had a chance to demo this or any other DVD players to date? Knowing what's out there, the ease of use of its features and ballpark prices one can get will help you make a good choice. Does your Explorer have a premium audio package like the Mach System or Ford Premium Sound? I would suggest looking at this list of players to get a feel for features, fitment and general performance listings. After you have a feel for what's out there, you'll know what a good unit will do and how much one can expect to pay.
