Short in Wiring?

My stereo keeps blowing my 10A fuse. And when I turn it up with the bass up the sound stops but the player keeps playing the same when I push my trunk latch release. Whatever this problem is has blown 2 speakers. Oh and the left rear speaker bulges out when the player is turned on... Can anyone make sense of this? Thanks to all that reply.

Glad to hear the trunk release works.........

a 10A fuse is pretty low. Do you know if this goes to the constant or the switched power wires. If it was the constant the radio stations and clock would probably need to be reset. It sounds like you have a problems somewhere if the speaker is moving up and down, try disconnecting it. Your decks amp may be going out if two have already died, do you know if the speakers are bad or the amp powering them?

That sounds like a blown HU in the making. Remove the HU and either have it bench tested or toss and get a new HU.

The bulging left rear speaker is getting power to move the cone out. However, it might be DC voltage if the cone thrusts out and just hums and no music. That indicates this amp channel is working, but the preamp that feeds it may be fried.

May I suggest getting a replacement player asap? Trying to do this fuse replacement routine is like plugging the hole in a boat that is just about swamped with water already. It's already taken out 2 speakers and a 3rd is pending. This will eventually take out all speakers and they are all going to need replacement. Not good...
