Hey I am looking for the Best Audio setup with 1500$ I want a least 12" subs. One or two it doesn't matter. I dont have to spend 1500$ but if that is what it will cost then I can. I have a 2004 Chevy Avalanche. If you could give me the amp / sub combo that would be real great for Bass and still have pretty good sq. If you could get back to me asap I would appreciate it thanks.

Hey Zach

Welcome to CK.

If you are buying online, $1500 is like 2200 in store. Let us know where you intend to get your hardware.

I did reference another guy's options on a different forum, and it involved one brand. Of course, you could do this with a number of brands, but this was one example as the guy was going to use Infinity 6x9s and an Infinity amp. I'll copy/paste it below:

If you wanted, for $1500, here's what you could get for equipment:

Infinity System:

Infinity Kappa Perfect DVQ(2) $220 each
Infinity Reference 611A $260
Infinity Ref 7541A $260
Infinity Kappa 60.7cs $190
Infinity Kappa 680.7cs $190 (also fits 6x8 mouting locations)

That's 1300, and use whatever head unit you desire. The subs you mentioned are very good subs, but need a lot of juice. I'd recommend 2 of them and a bigger amp (Reference 1211A 1200W) because of that reason.

Essentially, you can decide how ambitious your system needs to be. And, you could get the less expensive infinity woofers that Swez mentioned in the bottom of that post.

Should you not have an affinity for Infinity, here's some other brands that are very good and reasonably priced as well:

Alpine
JBL
Orion
Crossfire
Memphis
Phoenix

Research those brands a little more, and give us your thoughts.

Agreed, the CS Comps from Infinity and their JBL sisters are actually some very nice speakers. The tweeters are a bit stronger and come off a bit brighter than silks, but with a good EQ feature and using the crossover attenuators well, you can achieve very good results here.

PS Welcome cack Zach, been a while since you were last here.
