Need some input from Alarm Installers

Vehicle: 2006 F-350 Superduty Turbo-Diesel (Dad's new towing Toy)

Install: Alarm kit (unknown) and AUX Air Horns

Background: This truck has a pair of air horns installed and activated via a remote switch in the dash. When you have the switch activated, hit the horn button, get a loud blast that won't stop until the air tank is out of air. Can shut off the switch and the horns will stop. But, when switch is off, normal stock horns are supposed to activate only.

It worked fine a week ago... until the switch got whacked by a low flying knee. The air horns stayed on and they disconnected the BAT's to turn it off. Mom claims she smelled something like burning as this all took place??? (She's got a very good nose for smells... we don't) Now, the normal stock horns are not working and the fuse for horn is OK. (Got the picture here?)

Hypothosis: Am leaning toward a search for a fried horn relay that is stuck closed. All worked as normal with or w/o air horns until the above event happened.

Now, stock horns do not work at all. The air horns will work when switch is in the "ON" position, but it's like the horn button will not release. The air horns just blare until switch is deactivated.

Am not sure if the Tech just tapped into the OEM horn button circuit and both the factory and air horns worked simultanously before this event. However, I cannot seem to locate the relay, (if any) or why the stock horns no longer work and the air horns will only deactivate via the remote switch.

This AUX horn circuit is attached via t-taps to the main horn harness. Did find a diode on that tapped circuit and it is OK. Am thinking there is a horn relay in the dash or under the hood that is stuck in closed circuit mode. Where to look for that relay as it is not in dash or under hood fuse boxes?

Any comments guys?
