Most head units have basic equalizers in them. Assuming yours does, you can adjust the high vocals by raising the value of the treble (+ treble) and bring out the mids as well with it, to give a much fuller sound.
If your head unit does not have an equalizer in it you can purchase one. There are many, many different equalizers out there, so choosing one right for you is going to take some time.
If none of the above works, then I'd say your tweets are blown, or not wired correctly.
As for the song, any song with a good vocal range will do just fine, so that means no hip-hop or country.

What kind of car? What kind of equipment and how is it wired? It might be helpfull to include a picture of your car, or link to one. Often the cars abroad are not the same as they are here.
