The JL W7 is a 3 ohm SVC sub. It can handle 500 watts RMS w/o sweating a drop. The ideal amp for this sub, is the JL 500/1. It delivers 500 RMS to any load between 1.5 - 4.0 ohms.

What is the model number of your Kenwood amp? KAC - ???? Depending on the amp model, it may work out fine or struggle with overheating issues when it's powered up hard.
