im sorta new to the whole car scene so i figured before i sell my 93 camry ill add a few things to make the value go up a little and also to gain some experience and knowledge

my question is roughly how much would it be to install a new body kit (front rear bumpers and side skirts) and also replace the entire interior to replace it with another color (dash board steering wheel ash trays seats rug everything lol)

how much in terms of money, or how much work?

And I'd say unless your interior is completely trashed, the amount it would increase in value would be minimal compaired to the sheer amount of work it'd be to replace everything.

First thing, were you expecting to have the entire car repainted? Because when you install a body kit, that's pretty much what you have to do. So there's a few hundred extra dollars, plus at least 500 for the body kit itself.

dash, steering wheel, ash tray, even the seats are not really that complicated so long as you buy the exact replacement. Now, the carpet, that's a HUGE amount of work.

Uhmmm, this site is dedicated to Car Audio and related topics. If you desire car pimping in other areas, try other sites that cater to this OK.

yeah that and, since it's a 1993 camry, i think adding a body kit and all that crap would HURT the value of it. they're built for dependibitly and durability, and you're lowering both of those by adding that unnecessary ricer racer roto pooper thing that the Fast and the Furious spawned in 2000.

want some experience?? do some elecrical work. it'll be good for ya.

and emoboywyl, have you ever swapped carpet in a car?? i've done it a few times, it's really easy in most cars. all ya gotta do is take out the seats, running boards, and kick panels / b and c pillars. once that's out, it's pull out and reapply. usually very simple. center consoles are kinda groovy to get out sometimes, but i'd MUCH rather replace carpet than an entire dash.

Depends on whether it's the entire dash, or just the front molding.

And I HATE carpet work. There's all kinds of gross stuff on people's carpet. I installed custom speakers, amp, box and subs in this guy's work truck and there was broken glass EVERYWHERE. I tried to vaccum up as much as I could, but I still cut my hands up.

Since then, I hate working with carpet. Especially in arizona, with all the dirt, dusk and gunk in the air, it just makes that stuff nasty.
