yo yo,

for the past week, i've been working almost non stop on a ford bus previously converted into a limosine. i'm gonna post some pics friday, but here's some info on it:

* Four 6.5 inch speakers cut into overhead running boards.

* Two 10 inch JL Audio 10w3 woofers w/ custom boxes built by a guy i work with

* JVC in dash dvd player (JVC sucks, but it was already in there so we're using it. trying to keep cost as low as possible because we're going to be doing several)

* Two alpine amplifiers mounted on overhead running boards (four channel and mono)

* X-box

* Custom mounted disco ball!! took the thing apart and mounted a new switch, alterted the top part of it and mounted it like an overhead TV. sounds corny but it turned out awesome)

* Various other lights / lasers for show

* and the big nasty bad boy: 32 inch plasma tv flush mounted into rear mirror that runs across back wall. a guy i work with did that, i just did all the wiring.

* over 40 feet of 4 gauge power wire running through vehicle

* shop costs (connecters, wiring, etc.) exceeded $300 yesterday. keep in mind this is just connecters and relays and bulk wire and so forth)

* one big, royal PITA

talk about a real pain to work on, but once it all came together, it was VERY rewarding and i can't wait to do another.

i'll post pics soon.

Hehe, sounds like a cool project there Mr. Hansom.

Hey, you guys do remote starters and such right. What is a good adhesive to attach the units antenna to the windshield? My Dad's Van has one mounted in the upper left corner of the windshield in their E150 Luxo-Conv Van. In the heat, the adhesive gets soft and the antenna falls off the tinted window. This is a thick, black tary adhesive and it just gets too soft and is still very tacky, but the antenna pick-up module just falls off.

Whatelse can be used for this application?
