SMILE Seem to have a lot of action items regarding advertising, promotions, getting good people in the right places, dealers, support techs in field and all those things a very good stuff. May I suggest that you and your partner sit down and have a few brain-storming sessions and compose an S.O.A.P. manual (Standardized Operations And Procedures Manual) S.O.A.P. is a very detailed "game plan" for each member group in the systems mentioned above. The list you mentioned above, covers the "WHAT TO DO" aspects of the overall plan. Now, you guys need a plan on "HOW TO" get things in place and working smoothly, through all phases of the program. Basically, this will be a comprehensive set of documents, (in modules) of a Business Plan that cover all phases of your entire program. Good luck and plan on lots of time to compose and revise your SOAPS as needed. Swez Ash on 07/30/2006 11:27:00 Wow! Sounds like things are really taking off for you. That's good to hear, now can I get a job?!!! (LOL!) GRIN swez on 07/30/2006 11:42:45 How to get a job like that? Move to India or find other newly emerging markets that are rapidly developing, but need outside talents to get the ball rolling. Victor is in the right place at the right time with the right goods and moxey. It's all about timing! Victor has been preparing for this boom for a few years now. At the moment, he is sitting on a nice lump of un-mined Gold. Unfortunately, this market has pretty well passed its prime in the US and most parts of Canada. There still are pockets of interest out there, but a newcomer will have to work very hard to build a decent business level and gain enough new clients. Swez ttocs on 07/30/2006 12:06:50 sounds like you have been and will continue to be busy. Keep up the good work. Ash on 07/30/2006 12:16:27 Perhaps I can stand on a corner like the kids do with lemonade to get started. Seriously though, it's a shame our market here in the states has gone to crap. It seems like 60-70% are people that have no business being in the business. The ones that should, can't get a decent break. However, it's good to see Victor making real moves and being able to take advantage of a growing market. I wish you all the best Vic! swez on 07/30/2006 12:33:47 I'd have to agree with you here too Ash. It's all about timing, having enough cash to open a business and advertising your expertise to a very limited market. (US based anyway) The "Peter Principle" is very much at work in many cases too. That is, "promoting one to his/her highest levels of incompetence". (Ie: Dad builds a great buisiness over many years and passes it on to his inept kids.) However, this is an era of specializations. If one is very skilled and knowledgable in a given area, he can exploit/export that knowledge to the hilt. It's just a matter of identifying a given need and filling it with the right slills and products. With the knowledge you have gathered over the past few years, I can see you building a small P/T business as a custom speaker designer and fabricator. You have the general concepts down well already. It's now a matter of targeting that expertise in such a way that you can cash in on these and other skills you will acquire along the way. In short, think BIG, but start small and see where you can take these skills as time passes. Swez PS Victor is proof positive of how this all works. I too, have been dabbling in such things and trying to find a niche that is waiting to be filled and not a huge amount of competition to drive down the profits from cut-throat low ballers. Victor on 07/30/2006 16:39:24 Thanks a lot guys for alll ur good wishes.... The only difference i think here is the kind of market we are in, India is an emerging market... US on the other hand i feel is saturated , Its filled with sooooo many different brands and soo many knowledgeble guys that its tough competiton, India on the other hand has very few or lets say in my knowledge has not more than 10-25 knowledgeble guys who know the trade, As swez said i am in the right market at the right time, I am sure if any one the guys on ck were here they wud be doing as good or even better than me, I am very oblidged by CK, thanks to walt, swez, scott and all of you that I am at this stage, I dont have words to thank you guys... I have learnt more than i have taught here... I would be pleased to help you or anyone out here on ck.. , Its a boon that I cud be here on CK. Trust me , those who are golds and all those who visit CK, this is the best possible place to be... Also like swez said , ths list i put up is " what to do":, .......for "how to do" i am definitely depending on you guys, please let your suggestions flow in.. Victor... PS.SWEZ... thanks a ton........ your personal guidance and whole hearted friendship has helped me immensely... I am looking forward to talkling to you regarding this... I dont have words, ,,, all i can say is I would be more than oblidged to have your advice...and thanks a lot guys... all of u, members, golds and walt... If it wasnt for you i would never have been what i am ... THANKS>>> THANKS>>>> swez on 07/31/2006 01:46:10 Victor, I am very proud of your accomplishments to date and enjoy watching you grow in life. (You already know that right?) Well, perhaps we can collaborate a bit on your current opportunity and knock around a few fresh ideas. Am now doing some Consultative Mentoring as well. It's working out OK, but there is always a bigger goal in the offing... selling knowledge and experience for a profit, is now a reality. (Just looking to do more of it in the future) More clients = more $$ in the ol' pocket dude. Yes, would like to hook up with you on YIM or Skype soon and we can talk about the "HOW TO" phases of your project. After doing a few formal "Business plans" of my own, know the ropes. I may be "easy"... but, "I don't come cheap" anymore Bro. hehe Swez Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
