I have 2 audiobahn aw121t subs-12"-550rms in a bandpass and it thumps with a Audiobahn a8002t amp. I just aquired 2 12" mtx 4500's in a sealed box(handle like 225rms each). I have one Audiobahn and one MTX wired on each of the 2 channels so its 2 ohms on both. Is this a good idea or should i just let the amp power the audiobahns? Ash on 07/19/2006 19:01:40 I don't think that will be a good idea. The Bahns are rated higher than the Mtx's and even though the amp is 2 ohm stable, it can not discern what speaker to give the most power to. The amp is only rated at 400 rms at 2 ohms which is not enough for both. However, it does "seem" to contain a good enough rating to run the Mtx's better in a 4 ohm load by themselves. Perhaps you should try that. To get the most power out of this amp you would need some dual voice coil subs (4+4) or 8 ohm subs, for this amp is only 4 ohm stable bridged.
