Replacing Subwoofers

I'm currently taking out my current subs and replacing them with new ones. I wanted to add a twist, and turn my new subs sideways. Here is my problem..My old subs screw placement is different. If I put new screws in, will air leak out the old screw holes? Do I have to seal them?

Any advice would help! Thanks a ton.

they need to be sealed, if they aren't you get an annoying flutter sound. They can easily be sealed from the inside with some liquid nails

lets say the sub has 6 holes for drilling. I do not want to mount my new subs in those same holes. I was thinking of drilling new holes, to change the angle of the sub a differnt way.
