single sub ported

hey guys i think im going to try a single sub in a ported box i had talked to victor and he sudjusted using an alpine sub what do you think i was posibly looking at the MRP-M450 and a SWS-1242D but what do you all think

That's a winner! Plenty of power for the sub here and this amp has a SSF for ported box use. Should sound nice in a well designed, ported enclosure.

i hit a 142.6 with 1 sub i don't know what u are going for sq or spl but it sounds good but not as good as some 10's or something i have it in a slot port ebs box and im happy with it just lettin u know hope it turns out right for u or u could always go for 12w7 thats my next one to get

do you think the sws line is good enough or should i go with the swr for a sub

The SWR-1242D is also a good choice. It's rated at 500 watts RMS vs the SWS-1242D, which is rated at 300 watts RMS. The amp mentioned, will deliver about 400 RMS @ 2 ohms, depending on voltage it gets off your electrical system.

Choice? It's a toss up here Raul. Both have similar performance. It's just a matter of power they can handle VS price.
