Hey guys im back with another question......i want to run a four channel amp to my four speakers because i need more music rather than the crapload of bass that i get from my ////\Lpine R Subs. What are some good 4 channel amps to run to the 4 speakers? ( The back can handle 50 watts RMS and the front can handle 60 watts RMS) Pioneer TS-A1681R in the back and Pioneer TS-D161R in the front Thanks Turp Replies (6) swez on 06/22/2006 10:15:02 Knew you'd be back for this one sooner or later. What sub amp make and model are you using again? We'll try to match up what you have now. Swez DTurp23 on 06/23/2006 00:53:37 2 Alpine R 12"'s (SWR-1222D) and the KAC-9152D DTurp23 on 06/25/2006 01:32:02 do you have any suggestions? swez on 06/25/2006 08:57:33 You are right... that is a lot of bass engine to offset. Well, the present speakers noted have some limits in terms of power they can actually handle. However, they are fairly efficient too. Here, an amp that can produce 50-75 watts RMS x 4 @ 4 ohms per channel, would be a good starter. Consider these as possible options: 1. Alpine MRV-F345 2. Alpine MRP-F450 3. Alpine MRV-F540 4. Kenwood KAC-8452 The next step, may be to swap speakers here. Infinty Kappa's have a 2 ohm series that would go very well in the front and more power from the amp at 2 ohms too. The Pioneer TS-D161R's can be moved to the rear stage and give good rear fill and should balance out well enough with any of the amps noted above. Swez DTurp23 on 06/25/2006 11:40:35 Yeah I was thinkin that i should swap out the back speakers too......do you know exactly what the infinity speakers are? And is it possible to run a 4 channel amp to 2 speakers at 2 ohms and 2 speakers at 4 ohms? if it is then i will def. replace them with the infinities. Yes, you can run a 4 channel amp with 2 ohms per channel up front and 4 ohms in the rear channels. You'll get a good increase in amping power at 2 ohms, but not overload your rear speakers. If you like 6.5" Comps up front, Use the Infinity Kappa 60.7cs. These are 2 ohms and very strong with moderate power. These Comps can handle up to 90 watts RMS per each and have very high effficiencies as well. Shop the web and see what you can find. If you wish to stick with Coaxials, use the Infinity Kappa 62.7i series. These take a tad less power and will be cheaper too. Both have external crossovers. Comments?
