well, I just came into some money, so i am planning on purchasing a 93 honda civic. wow, unusual car i know GRIN but its already got a body kit and intake and exhaust, and Halo headlights n stuff so i'll be good upgradewise for a while.
I have 600 left to spend on my sub/amp combo(car comes with mb quarts all the way around so im good there)

but yeah, anyways, i was looking at the RE HC 12. i can get it from Discount car stereo for 260+tax, and i figure i'll just get the JBL BP1200.1 online since they wanna charge me 380 for it. hah, i dont think so. i'll take 240 off ebay ne day hehe. anyways, so that leaves me around 100 dollars left, so im thinkin i'll upgrade the PWR/GND wires and throw in an optima yellow top.

Hey Blitz,
Congrats on the your first car purchase! Way to go dude...
Do you know what size ALT is in this Civic? If less than 85A., you may want to rethink the 1200.1 as it can pull a max of 114A at full power (+1300 watts RMS)
A big yellow Top will help.... but for less money and 50% of the current draw, the 600.1 will only short you 3dB less SPL. You can easily make that up by going ported with this sub enclosure.

i think i can get yellow tops cheaper than that, my ole lady works at autozone, and so i get her discount, plus no tax. and if any other autozone in illinois has it cheaper i get that price plus the discount plus no tax, pretty nice, but not many things i need from autozone, plus its only good for producst that are in store, and they have to order dont get discount:(
