Hi,

All

I have 2x 12" Pioneer Premier "TS-W126DVC" Subwoofers,
Recommended Enclosure 0.85 ~ 1.75 Cubic Feet.
3" Dia 8" long port.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Questions are:

1. How Can I tuned this Port between 30hz -35hz.
2. Can I double the size of the enclosure and put the two Subs in it.

Thank you.

If you went with a (Vb) 1.50 cf/chamber and used a 3" port, 12" long per chamber, your PTF would be 30 Hz. However, to dial this in correctly, you'll need to subtract the sub and port displacements figures too.

If you use the box as is and just install sub and port as noted above, your PTF will be closer to 35 Hz.

These are 4+4 DVC's. What amp are you planning to use to power them? If Class D, it should be ~800-1000 Wrms @ 1 ohm. If using a 2 channel amp, 400-500 Wrms/ch x 2 @ 2 ohms per channel will give optimal results.

PS A 3" x 12" port has a displacement value of between 58 -70 cubic inches, depending on the wall thickness of the port. (1/8"; 1/4" thicknesses respectively)

The amp I am going to use, is the EarthQuake PH2200w/4 amp.
it's a 350wrms x4 @ 2ohm.

I will only be using 2ch for bass.

The enclosure measurements I got is from the speaker manufacturer.

The displacements of a sub is 0.117cuf.

Thanks

Nice amp... plenty strong for your subs and front channel speakers too.

Here's what you want to do:

1. Wire Sub A coils in parallel (2 ohm load) connect to channel 3 on your amp

2. Do the same wiring with Sub B, and wire that to channel 4 of your amp

3. Set the Low Pass Filter (LPF) on rear channels of your amp at 80 Hz.

4. Set amplifer gains to match your HU RCA output voltage

FYI: This amp does not have SubSonic Filters to block low bass and protect ported woofer designs. There are filters you can buy, that plug into the amp RCA inputs, that will do the job. This is what you'll need:

You get 2 filters per order, only need 2 filters for this application.

Got it?
