If he doesn't mind the huge electrical upgrade that is needed to run this beast, it'll work. Does he really need that large an amp? (SPL Comps and such)

What does he want to use for subs?

FYI: Bahn's are not the most reliable amps/subs on the planet. One ohm loads are pretty tough on most non-HC designs. (HC = High Current)

That's their Class D amp, and 1ohm isn't a major factor. However, they are slightly overrated, but the chrome makes up for that.

For the price, you could probably ge tthe same in a more reliable model, but it would do decent.

Looks like a #2 gage kit is about right for just this amp alone. As I ran some numbers, at 1 ohm loads, this amp will draw close to 150 amperes of current at full power.

As for subs, a pair of subs (4+4 DVC's) that can handle 1000 watts RMS per sub, would be sufficient. This sub (a pair) would be a very good choice for this amp:

Finally, this will be a pretty strong bass engine. Hope your friend has plans for major electrical upgrades under the hood and a stout full range amp and speakers to keep up with the subs.
