Crossover question

Can you place the crossovers between the HU and amps and use a separate amp channel for each crossover output? HU into the crossover, crossover tweeter output to Ch1 input of amp, crossover woofer (MB) output to Ch2 input of amp? Yeah, I know it would take 2 4ch amps to run LF, RF, LR, RR doing this. Just wondering if it will work?

yes, it is possible and sometimes usefull to do this, how ever you normally just bypass the x-over on the speakers and use the one in the amp. By being able to adjust the x-over freq you can often help the soundstage by being able to tweek it a little more.

If you use the HU internal amps to feed the crossovers, you can do as mentioned, but will need to use the amps High Signal inputs or separate LOC's for each channel to convert to RCA (Line level) inputs to amp channels.

Also, realize that most 2-way crossovers have automatically limited power to the tweeters. Figure a 3:1 ratio on average here. (Ie: 75 watts to MB/MR; 25 watts to tweeters)
