I can't wait till the end of the month when I get to go home and visit friends and family, and return with the momstang. I have been plannin a few upgrades to help my, uuuhhh, milage. Ya know the usual intake, timing advance, underdrive pulleys, ect...... I also badley need to upgrade the vintage tape deck and a couple of speakers that are blown(mom must have been jamminSMILE). I have already selected the alpine 9857 as a head unit, and need a little help with the speaker selection. I was lookin over alpine and JL(dealer cost) but I honestly don't know if one sounds better then the other. I want to be able to have them clean, and loud on occasion(the 5.0 can be a little loud sometimes). I will be running them off the deck power at least for a little while but I am sure I will end up changing that as well. I have a small memphis class D 500 watts amp a 4 mb quart 8's that I am thinking about putting in when I return, and could also see upgrading to a 4 channel amp later. I listen to a wide variety of music with the exception of country, and only a little rap.
