I just bought a Volfenhag ZX-4715 with dual voice coil, and I have a Boss R1400D Amp. How can I set it up so it runs 2 Ohm?? Any info would be great.

P.S. Does anyone have any comments on Volfenhag Subs. Thanks.

is the amp 2 ohm mono stable, or two ohm stereo stable??

i have 2 12in volfenhags. they arn't bad for the money but it seems they just can't take real low bass hits. but other than that i haven't had a problem with them and i've had them for over a year.

the amp is 2 ohm mono-stable

If this is a 2/4/8 DVC sub and you are only using one of them on this amp... should be ok. Just wire both voice coils in parallel to amp and you'll have a 2 ohm load.

Do you know the RMS watts output of this amp @ 2 ohm loads?
Also, how much RMS input power (watts) can this sub take.

The other item to consider is Sealed, Ported or Bandpass enclosure style. If Sealed and the enclosure is not too large for the sub to maintain cone control... good to go. However, if using a Bandpass or Ported enclosure, best to use a sub sonic filter to keep the sub from hitting X-max. (max. excursion)

V-hags are not the same quality and lack features you will find in more expensive subs. But in the proper enclosure... some report very good results.
